Mr Read is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon working at the West Hertfordshire Hospitals Trust. He undertakes general trauma care and is a specialist in hand and wrist surgery. He developed the hand unit in 2013 and has seen it expand continuously since then.

Mr Read offers subspecialist trauma care for complex wrist fractures using advanced fragment specific fixation techniques. He is skilled in limited incision techniques for managing scaphoid fractures and cares for all complex hand fractures. Trauma care is undertaken at the Watford General Hospital Site.

Planned surgery is undertaken at St Albans City Hospital. Mr Read offers elective care for all common and complex hand problems.
